WELCOME TO SALT LIFE
WHERE YOU BELONG
OUR MISSION + VISION
Our Mission at Salt Life Church is to build relationships with God and others, so the kingdom of God is increased and advanced.
The Vision of Salt Life Church is to see people experience the life changing power of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pastors Bruce & Angela Laverdure
Pastors Bruce and Angela Laverdure have been in ministry for over 30 years. Before moving to the Myrtle Beach area, they planted a new church about 20 miles north of Wilmington, North Carolina and served in that church for over 9 years, followed by a season of itinerant ministry, speaking in church services, marriage retreats, and various conferences throughout the Carolinas.
Pastor Bruce has been an ordained licensed minister for well over 25 years, serving in multiple leadership positions within the local church, including Senior Pastor of New Creation Worship Center from 2003 through 2012. He has been on staff as an Associate Pastor, has worked with youth, counsel’s marriages, and simply has a heart to “serve” as he carries the message of
grace to the world around him.
Pastor Angela has also worked in many leadership positions within the local church, ministering in women's conferences, serving on youth boards, teaching children and teens, and serving dually as Worship Pastor and Senior Associate Pastor of New Creation Worship Center from 2003 through 2012. She has a serving spirit and ministers with “passion” and high praise, whether in word or in song.
Pastors Bruce & Angela have been married 37 years, are parents to two adult children. You will hear them proudly brag about their 6 beautiful grandchildren. Their family has ministered together for years. Together as Co-Pastors of SLC, they have a heart to offer the amazing grace of God to others, to see relationships healed and restored, and to exemplify the true freedom of a life lived in Christ.
WORSHIP LIFE PASTORS
As Worship Pastors at Salt Life Church, Pastors David & Donna Harrison are passionate about leading people into authentic encounters with the presence of God through worship. With a heart for both the local church and developing leaders, they believe worship is more than music—it's a lifestyle of surrender that draws people closer to Jesus.
They are committed to building a worship culture marked by excellence, authenticity, and a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. Whether leading on stage, mentoring team members, or serving behind the scenes, they desire to see lives transformed as people experience God's love and presence.
Outside of ministry, they enjoy spending time with family and friends. With 6 grown children and 6 grandchildren, life is truly blessed. They consider it a privilege to serve alongside the incredible team at Salt Life Church and are excited to see all God continues to do in and through His Church.
YOUTHLIFE & COMMUNITY LIFE PASTORS
Pastors Jason & Jenna Walter are passionate about helping students discover who they are in Christ and build a faith that lasts. With a heart for the next generation, they are committed to creating a fun, authentic, and welcoming environment where every middle and high school student feels seen, valued, and encouraged.
Through biblical teaching, meaningful relationships, and unforgettable experiences, they strive to equip students to follow Jesus with confidence, live out their faith every day, and make a difference in their schools, homes, and communities. Their desire is to see young people encounter God's love, grow in their purpose, and become lifelong disciples of Jesus.
They also serve as our Community Life Pastors. They desire to share the love of Jesus beyond the walls of the church and help people become the hands and feet of Christ in our community. With a heart for serving others, they lead opportunities to meet practical needs, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact both locally and globally.
Life is full and rewarding as they balance ministry at Salt Life Church with raising their three boys. Passionate about serving others, they are committed to loving people, building God's Kingdom, and finding every opportunity to bless their church and the surrounding community.
CARE, PRAYER AND RELATIONS PASTORS
Pastors Randy & Linda Sawlsville are our Care, Prayer & Relation Pastors. We call them our CPR leaders. They have a heart for people and a passion for helping others experience the love and hope of Jesus in every season of life. Whether walking alongside someone through grief, celebrating life's milestones, praying with families, or offering encouragement during difficult times, they are committed to ensuring no one has to face life's challenges alone.
With a shepherd's heart, they strive to create a culture where every person feels seen, loved, and cared for. Their desire is to connect people to Christ, biblical community, and the practical support they need to grow in faith and find hope. They believe that some of the greatest ministry happens one conversation, one prayer, and one act of compassion at a time.
When they're not serving others, they enjoy spending time with family and building meaningful relationships within the church and the community.
VOLUNTEER LIFE DIRECTORS
Our Volunteer Directors, Deanna & Jamaine Earl, have a heart to care for people and help them feel seen, supported, and connected. As part of our leadership team, they encourage volunteers, build relationships, and create an environment where every team member can thrive while serving God's Kingdom.
Whether they're welcoming new Dream Team members, celebrating wins, or walking alongside people through life's ups and downs, they are passionate about helping others discover the joy of serving. Their desire is to see every volunteer grow in their faith, build meaningful community, and use their God-given gifts to make a difference at Salt Life Church.
They are blessed with four amazing children and one grandson who brings so much joy to their lives. As a family, they are passionate about serving others and investing in the local church.
ADMINISTRATOR
Our Administrator, Tammy Daiker, is passionate about creating a welcoming and organized environment where ministry can thrive. Whether coordinating behind the scenes, supporting our teams, or helping guests feel at home, they serve with excellence and a heart for people. Their dedication helps make Salt Life Church a place where everyone can connect, grow, and experience the love of Jesus.
When she’s not teaching or helping keep everything at SLC running smoothly, she’s a worshiper at heart. She finds joy in God’s creation, especially through gardening and working with her hands. Whether serving others, nurturing what’s growing, or simply enjoying the beauty of God’s handiwork, her heart reflects a deep love for the Lord and His creation.
KIDSLIFE LEAD TEAM
Our Kids Lead Team is passionate about helping every child discover who Jesus is in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. They believe church should be a place where kids are excited to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships while developing a strong foundation of faith.
Each week, they serve with joy, creativity, and genuine care, partnering with families to point the next generation toward Christ. Their heart is to create an environment where every child feels loved, valued, and excited to come back to KidsLife!
Whether they're leading worship, teaching a Bible lesson, playing games, or simply sharing a smile, they count it a privilege to invest in the next generation. Their greatest desire is for every child who walks through the doors of Salt Life Church to know they belong, are deeply loved, and have a God-given purpose.

What We believe
-
There is only one God, who eternally exist in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The trinity are equal and eternal. God is the creator of all things, who made man in His own image and likeness.
-
Jesus Christ is God the Son. He has existed from the beginning with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was fully God and fully man. He left heaven to be born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, and died on a cross to redeem all mankind. He was buried, but rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended back to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, but He will return again one day for His church, to establish His eternal kingdom.
-
The Holy Spirit is God, who has existed from the beginning with the Father and the Son. He is our comforter, counselor, and helper. He convicts mankind and makes each person aware of their need for God. He indwells and empowers every believer to live the Spirit filled life, evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit, and spiritual gifts.
-
The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. It is the final authority and is the source of all doctrine, instruction, correction, and reproof. It cannot be added to or taken from. It is completely infallible. It is the road map for every believer to follow.
-
Man and woman in the beginning chose to disobey God, resulting in the fall of mankind. The consequence of sin was separation from God and eventual death. Everyone born after Adam and Eve is affected by sin. The "Good News" is Jesus Christ chose to die in our place. He took our punishment and our sin upon Himself. If we confess with our mouth, Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our heart God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. We believe, you must confess your sins to God, repent of your sins, and make Jesus Christ, Lord of your life. Salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ.
-
The church is the body of Christ, meant to be "Salt" to a dying world and "Light" in a dark world. The church should be one unified body working together to accomplish The Great Commission; "Go into all the world making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit."
